Does Streetlight Manifesto Play Catch 22 Songs in Concert?? [28 Jul 2007|03:27pm]

shinedownonme
Hello fellow ska lovers! I'm going to see Streetlight Manifesto next week in concert, and am really hoping they will play some music off of Catch 22's Keasbey Nights CD.

Has anyone been to a streetlight manifesto concert? Do you know if they play old catch 22 songs?

I'm really hoping! I guess there could be some copyright issues or something...I dunno how it works.

Also, anyone here going to the Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish concert in LA August 2nd? I'm so incredibly exited!

Thanks!

Keasbey Nights 2 [01 Dec 2004|01:56am]

[ mood | Just here ]

The new Streetlight Manifesto release is NOT called Keasbey Nights 2. There is no title for it as of yet, that I am aware of.

This was a news update from punknews.org on October 2nd, 2004.

According to Amazon.com, Streetlight Manifesto's new album as Keasbey Nights 2 is set for a January 12th, 2005 release on Victory. The original Keasbey Nights was released in 1998 by Catch 22. While Catch 22 is still together, several members of its Keasbey-era lineup are in Streetlight Manifesto.

In the new issue of Alternative Press, the release schedule lists the album as well, but it shows a November release date. We'll pass along updates as they come in.

Now here is an update on said issue from Streetlight's website, which was later posted in the same article on punknews.

this we can tell you:
a) there are no numbers involved. don't even ask how that happened, it's ridiculous
b) no new songs, really. but you'll be surprised, hopefully pleasantly.
c) we're doing this to prevent you from spending money unnecessarily. you'll understand that soon as well.
d) trust us. we try to do the right thing as much as possible, and our number one priority, as always, is the music.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Cheers!

Hey. I'm new. My name's Gaston. Streetlight and BOTAR are very cool. Catch 22 is alright too.
Anyone know when Keasbey Nights 2 is coming out?

Review: Catch 22 "Live" w/bonus DVD [08 Nov 2004|05:08pm]

hooper_x
Fucking awesome. Reminds me again and again why this is my favorite band ever.

Nice little bonus, a DVD with the entire show *AND* some hilarious bonus stuff, like home movies of all the band members as kids, including Pat Calpin with a hilariously bad mullet, Ryan getting a guitar for chrismas when he was *really* little and wearing awesome skeleton pajamas, Kevin in the marching band (with a SERIOUSLY mulleted Jamie Egan!), and, of all things, a clip of Gimp, the band Tomas and Chris were in before C22! All three C22 videos to-date are included, as well as a photo gallery, goofy home movies from the road and a bunch of other crap that only die-hard fans would care about.

Easily worth $15.

Hey kids. My name's Chelsea, and I'm from this pathetic cow-town called Lancaster in Mass-a-freaking-chusetts.

Of course, Keasbey Nights is my LIFE. I think I might set that CD on fire from so much use. So I thought why not join a Keasbey Nights community?!

Alright, thats it. Have a stellar night, folks.

30 Second Fuse is also confirmed. MajorSka is probably going to be the last band to be confirmed.

the show catch played here was orgasmic,
after the show i got a drumstick and to
meet the members of the band and get
my pants signed and what not, it was
pretty badass -- i forgot how cool ska
bands were.

s'not much of a good story, but i figured
i would inform you.

So I hated Catch 22's Dinosaur Sounds when it first came out, but its grown on me. I still think the lyrics are elementary, but I can't stop listening to it. I guess I really changed my mind when I rocked out to it in the car on the way back from Maryland the other day.

Random Question:
Anyone know if the Catch 22 show in Chicago this Saturday is sold out or not? I'm gonna be in town for it and was hoping I could get in at the door...

Random question:

Round about the time Washed Up! And Through The Ringer came out, there were some C22 shirts being sold on-tour with military themes. One had a soldier in red on a green shirt, one had paratroopers on a white and blue ringer tee, and I would SWEAR there was a white and red ringer tee with airplanes, with a "What Goes Around Comes Around" theme. Am I insane, or did these shirts exist? I really want to get one, or at least get a look at the art. Anybody out there got one they wouldn't mind photographing?
